what I gave you

I gave you goodbyes

like they were mine to give,

with syllables that struck themselves

apart,

I gave you apologies

like they were yours to take,

the roughest words

still paralyzed

on the edges of my lips

I gave you all I ever had

like it was worth the pain,

and I forgot the silences

can drive us all

insane

Loved this. Sometimes when someone demands an apology, you have to ask yourself if you are really the person who should give it 🙂 Lovely poem
